Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's Elizabeth Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything" opened to $15 million domestically, marking the largest opening weekend for a documentary in North America in more than 20 years.

The film played on only 855 screens and had more than 2,000 sold-out screenings during its opening weekend, according to production company A24. The per-screen average makes it the biggest opening for any film playing on fewer than 1,000 screens since "Borat" opened to $26.5 million in 2006.

The last documentary to achieve a comparable opening was "Fahrenheit 9/11" in 2004, making the arrival of "You Can See Everything" a notable moment for the nonfiction film market. The nearly three-hour film examines Holmes, the former Theranos founder who was convicted of fraud in 2022.
