RJ Mitte, the actor best known for playing Walter White Jr in Breaking Bad, has died aged 34 in Brownsville, Texas.
Mitte lived with cerebral palsy, a condition he drew from in portraying his character on the hit AMC series. His representatives said in a statement that he brought "authenticity to the role" and used his platform to advocate for disability awareness and inclusion.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte," the statement read.
Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, remembered Mitte as "my sweet son" following the news.
Beyond his acting work, Mitte became a vocal champion for disability representation in entertainment and broader society, drawing on his own lived experience with cerebral palsy.
